Vector — The Job Search OS

Stop managing a job search. Start operating one.

You can’t control who hires you. You can control how you search.

Vector is the operating system for a search you run yourself: the research, the signals, the people and the pages that get you into the room. It does the work. You make every call.

Networking is free. Search plans from $12.99 a month, with a 7-day free trial. Nothing is sent in your name unless you say so.

How Vector is different

Vector won’t make your search effortless. It makes your effort count.

Easy apply is easy for everyone. If a tool can send a hundred applications for you, it sends them for every other candidate too, and the recruiter can tell. So Vector does the work that’s hard to do well (the research, the way in, the drafts) and leaves you the calls only you should make.

Lazy apply

Fires off applications to every role that loosely matches, with nobody checking whether it fits.

Reads every role in full and scores it against your record first, so your effort goes into the ones worth it.

Job trackers

Keep the list. You still do the research, find the people and write every note yourself.

Does the research, shows who can reach each company, maps the way in and drafts the outreach.

AI in the driver’s seat

Asks you to hand over a moment that could change your life, and hope for the best.

Never applies, sends or contacts anyone unless you decide. It does the work. You make every call.

The market right now

Most searches still arrive late, cold and on paper.

Vector gets you there earlier, through people who can put you in the room, with evidence of what you can do. You stay in charge of every step.

Late

By the time a role reaches a job board, hundreds of people have applied. The search started before the posting, and most candidates weren’t in it.

Cold

An application into a form that a keyword filter reads first. The roles that get filled through someone never reach that pile.

On paper

A résumé is a claim about the past: titles and adjectives on one page. It can’t show what you can actually do, or the evidence behind it.

Passive searches don’t work. Generic cold outreach doesn’t work.

50% of the roles you want aren’t even posted, by some estimates. That means you need people working for you in rooms you aren’t in.

Estimates of the unadvertised share vary; the figure is illustrative.

01

People in rooms you aren’t in

Recruiters, search firms, coaches and your own network, working your search while you’re elsewhere.

02

Signal aggregation

Where to spend your time today, and the companies about to need you before they post.

03

Dossiers that set you apart

A page built for one reader, grounded in evidence, that tells you when it was read.

04

The right tools for the hunt

Research, the way in, answers to the recruiter’s questions, and an AI career counselor who has read everything.

What Vector does

Twelve things that change how a search runs.

Each one replaces something you are doing today by hand, badly, or not at all.

01 · People in rooms you aren’t in

Everyone in your corner, in one place

In-house recruiters, search firms, headhunters and your own network, each with when you last spoke, what’s owed, and the next touch. The people who can put you in a room are worked like a pipeline, not a memory.

What to notice

Warm paths come only from relationships you’ve confirmed. Vector never invents warmth to make a company look reachable.

Instead of: A LinkedIn inbox and good intentions.

01 · People in rooms you aren’t in

Open a door at the company you want

Ask who in your network can reach a company, then tell them where you’d like to be connected, with something you can offer back. Vector drafts the note, shows which of your contacts are most likely to reach that company, and gives each one a personal link to answer in a minute.

What to notice

Every note goes from your own LinkedIn or email, and you press Send; with the Vector extension the note is placed in LinkedIn’s message box for you. Vector never messages your contacts for you. Open Doors are free on every account.

Instead of: A mass post nobody reads, or twenty awkward messages.

01 · People in rooms you aren’t in

Your coach, inside your search

Bring the coach you already work with into Vector, or find one in Vector’s Coach Network. They see your real record, give feedback and set tasks with a date, and can draft an Open Door for you to send.

What to notice

On Standard and Pro. You invite them, and you can disconnect them at any time; their access ends at once. A coach advises; only you apply, send or decide.

Instead of: Retelling the last two weeks at the start of every call.

02 · Signal aggregation

Find the company before the job exists

Job Hunter Mode turns your record into a thesis about the companies that need you: funding, a first sales leader, a new segment. It watches for those signals every week and ranks what it finds, whether or not a role is posted.

What to notice

Every signal is dated and links to its source. A company with nothing you can verify doesn’t make the list.

Instead of: Waiting for the posting, along with everyone else.

02 · Signal aggregation

One move a day, and why it’s first

Everything in flight — roles, people, follow-ups, hunts — ranked by leverage into today’s plan. What’s waiting on you, what Vector is handling, and what’s stuck on someone else.

What to notice

Doing the work settles the reminder. Send the follow-up from anywhere and the plan knows.

Instead of: A spreadsheet and a guess about where to start.

02 · Signal aggregation

Roles arrive already researched

Every card carries a fit score, a quality score and the reasoning behind both, including the compensation conflicts and culture signals it found. You decide in seconds what used to take an evening.

What to notice

“Still unknown” names what it couldn’t establish instead of guessing, then goes looking.

Instead of: Two hundred applications and silence.

03 · Dossiers

A page that tells you what they read

One page per recipient, written from your approved record for that reader. You see which sections they opened, how long they stayed, whether they came back, and whether they took the résumé.

What to notice

Each reader gets their own link, so a forward shows up as a new reader. Your dossier keeps working in rooms you aren’t in.

Instead of: “Did they even open it?”

03 · Dossiers

What you can do, argued from evidence

Your DNA reads past titles and pedigree to the capability underneath, and shows what stands behind each claim: your documents, your work, and vouches from people who watched you do it.

What to notice

Every axis says what would raise it. It’s a record you can strengthen this week, not a grade.

Instead of: A résumé, which is a claim about the past.

04 · Tools for the hunt

For the roles you choose: the way in

A brief on the company, a map of who decides and who only screens, ranked routes to each, and the next action. Every pursuit is one workbench.

What to notice

Recruiters are logged and ranked last. The route that works is almost never the application form.

Instead of: A cold application into an ATS.

04 · Tools for the hunt

It asks before it assumes

Write “interview on Tuesday at 2” in a note and Vector asks whether to add the interview, move the application along, and prepare a brief the day before. One tap says yes.

What to notice

Nothing changes on your record until you answer. Only you answer the questions about your own search.

Instead of: A note that sits there while the date slips by.

04 · Tools for the hunt

Rehearse the interview with the person you’ll actually meet

Practice out loud with the hiring manager or recruiter you’re about to meet, on the questions this role and your gaps make likely. Each answer is scored on what you said and how you said it: pace, filler words, length, and whether you answered the question.

What to notice

When you had a stronger proof point and didn’t use it, the scorecard quotes it from your own record. Your recording is turned into text and not kept.

Instead of: Practicing generic questions in the mirror.

04 · Tools for the hunt

Answers to the recruiter, from your record

Paste the screening questions, or ask for a submission blurb, a 30/60/90, or a deck. Vector drafts it from what’s already on your record and hands you a Word or PowerPoint file.

What to notice

Anything only you know is flagged for you to answer, never invented.

Instead of: An evening rewriting the same story five ways.

What it looks like

Six claims on this page you shouldn't take on faith.

Every screen is the real product, running on a demo account. The people and companies in them are made up; the software is not.

The Opportunities triage view: role cards with fit and quality scores, the evidence behind each, what is still unknown, and pursue, pass or defer buttons.

Roles arrive already researched.

A fit score, a quality score, the reasoning behind both, and the conflicts it found — with “Still unknown” naming what it couldn’t establish rather than guessing. You decide in seconds what used to take an evening.

The Action Plan: today's huddle, the first move and why it is first, then the next moves ranked by leverage and urgency.

One move a day, and why it’s first.

Everything in flight — roles, interviews, follow-ups, an offer to review — ranked into today’s plan, with why the first move is first. The OS never pursues or passes on your behalf.

Job Hunter Mode: companies being watched with no matching role posted, each with dated, sourced events, why the candidate fits, and a recommended first move through a warm introduction.

Find the company before the job exists.

Companies heading into the moment they’ll need someone like you, each event dated and linked to its source, with the person who can get you in and the first move to make. None of them has posted the role.

A pursuit's People & Paths tab: the likely hiring manager, the person they report to and an internal influencer, then the ranked ways in, starting with warm paths through people the candidate knows, each with a recommended ask.

For the roles you choose: the way in.

Who decides and who only screens, the people you already know who can reach them, and the ask that fits each one, with the strongest route first.

Dossier activity: sent, opened, return visits and average time, the people to follow up with first, and every recipient with when they opened it, how long they read, what held their attention, and whether they came back or downloaded the résumé.

A page that tells you what they read.

Who opened it, how long they stayed, what held their attention, and who came back or took the résumé — with the people worth following up today at the top.

Contacts: recruiters, search firms, headhunters and network contacts, each with where the relationship stands, the last touch and the next follow-up date.

Everyone in your corner, worked like a pipeline.

In-house recruiters, search firms, headhunters and your own network, with when you last spoke, where each relationship stands and the next follow-up, so nobody goes cold by accident.

The empowered approach

Vector does the work. You make the calls.

Nothing goes out without you

No application, message or page is sent, and nothing is pursued or passed on, unless you decide. Easy mode fills in an application in your own browser and you press Submit; if you turn on submitting for you, it counts down ten seconds you can stop first.

Unknown stays unknown

When Vector can’t establish something, it says so and goes looking. It doesn’t fill the gap with something plausible.

Your name is yours to give

Employers meet your capability first. You’re identified only when you choose to be.

On your phone, too.

Add Vector to your home screen and it opens like an app, with alerts you can turn on there for a strong new role or a message from your coach.

See it work

Watch Vector take a role from “found” to “applied” in about 20 seconds.

Your strategy, the morning’s triage, the way in, a tailored résumé and the application, on the real product with demo data. Watch, or take over and click around; nothing you do leaves this page.
